ADOX Fineprint Vario Classic, Fibre.
A Fibre Based, Variable Contrast, black and white paper on a heavyweight base. Using a traditional vertical coating dunk-process and running at a much slower rate than modern machines, when manufactured the paper soaks up the emulsion ensuring it is silver rich. Photographers should develop it for at least 2-4 minutes in order to achieve full dmax and greyscales. The developer and fixer also exhaust more quickly and it is good practice to run some tests for developing times and check your safelight as this paper is easily fogged - only red safelights should be used. The paper´s emulsion is free of added optical brighteners or incorporated developing substances making it suitable for alternative printing, two dish development and other processes.
Price increases have come through, but the paper's unique properties make it great value.
