Ilford DELTA 3200 PROFESSIONAL is an ultra high speed black and white film aimed at applications such as action and low light photography such as night time, sport, and where flash photography is not allowed. It also has a firm following of photographers who like the look of this film, regardless of it's high speed attributes: the enhanced grain structure typical of super fast emulsions is very appealing. This is a genuine high speed film with an ability to record highlight detail that sets it apart from other films.
This film is ideal for dedicated photographers. Best results will be achieved with some testing to obtain your prefered film speed and developer combination, and there are many to choose from. Some photographers succeed in exposing this film at up to 25,000ASA. For Wedding photographers, we have found this emulsion to be excellent for pre-wedding and ceremony shots, allowing the photographer to take full advantage of the speed in the typically low light situations encountered. The added bonus is the 'romantic' feel the grain structure can add, and flexibility in processing, exposure or the digital domain to accentuate this.
