ILFORD ILFOBROM GALERIE FB is a very traditional, graded, fibre based paper available as either grade 2 or 3 and with only a gloss surface. Whilst this may, at first sight, seem like a narrow offering, remember the contrast can also be varied with the use of different developers - we recommend The Darkroom Cookbook, by Steve Anchell with regard to making up your own developers to give maximum flexibility and artistic control. This is an excellent book updated as the 3rd edition only last year. Depending on how you dry the paper can affect how glossy the surface dries.

Ilfobrom Galerie is double weight 255g/m2 paper. Prints made on this paper have deep, rich blacks, brilliant whites and an excellent tonal rendition. It is suitable for a wide range of applications that require a fine quality printing paper, such as, archival prints for museums, collections and exhibitions; prestige applications which focus attention on both the look and the feel of the print.

Ilford Galerie was popular with Ansel Adams. Please do not confuse this with the inkjet Galerie offered by the other, separate, Ilford company from Switzerland!
