Kodak E100VS
Kodak Ektachrome E100VS offers very fine grain and superb colour saturation, yet preserving delicate tones. Despite the name, VS - Vivid Saturation, don't expect a Kodak version of Velvia (that's not Kodak's style), but a film with beautiful colour without loosing control, with the sort of contrast you expect from a reveral film. Reds (as with Kodachrome) are expecially stunning with E100VS. In our opinion, this, and it's sister film E100G, are the two best colour reversal (slide) films on the market today. They cost more to by than other films, but offer superb value.
All Kodak Slide films are now on rundown and have been discontinued.
We still have some small stocks. We believe this is because Kodak have run out of production capacity as there is such strong demand for black and white and colour negative, like Portra. Fujifilm has a strong offer in colour slide and we would recommend this to customers.
For a budget, but good quality, slide film, take a look at the Agfa Precisa.
