Rodenstock are one of the world'd foremost manufacturers of photographic large format and enlarging lenses, but also spectacle lenses. Quality levels are the same as Schneider but the range is wider. As with Schneider the Rodenstock enlarging lenses fall into different named categories:
ROGONAR - budget entry level, 3 elements
ROGONAR-S - 4 Elements. Aimed at more demanding amateurs. Attractive price
RODAGON - 6 Elements. Well known 'workhorse' lens for demanding amateurs and professionals
APO-RODAGON-N Builds on the Rodagon. Apochrmoatically corrected, high performance
RODAGON-WA - Shorter focal lengths, but larger image angle to keep enlarger controls closer. Same performance as Rodagon
APO-RODAGON-D - Specialist ultra lenses ideal (not shown here) for slide duplication and making internegatives
