Tri-X 400
Kodak claim it is the worlds best selling Black and White film. Whether or not this is correct, and we suspect it is (but probably not in the UK where Ilford HP5 dominates) it's certainly the most famous. Some of the greatest names in photography have made this film a household name with some of the most enduring images of the 20th Century, and into the 21st. Released in 1954, aimed squarely at photojournalists who had been used to films rated at 100 ASA, it was the first fast film for general use. Over the years it has been refined and it remains one of the most flexible films in exposure, especially over-exposure.
